
Majapahit Hotel which located at heart of Surabaya - East Java - Indonesia, was build in 1907, in the old days was residence of powerfull Netherlands officer Dirk Van Hogendorp.
After that was changed to be Hotel Oranye in the 1940's era- Netherlands colonial - operated by Sarkies's family - owner's of Raffles Hotel - Singapore, The Strand Hotel - Myanmar, Oriental Hotel - Penang, and changed to be Hotel Yamato during Japan colonial, the famous story about this antique hotel is November 10, 1945, when Indonesian's patriot tear off Netherlands's flag.
